Withdrawal Management (Women/Men)
When clients begin treatment at NorthStar Regional’s new withdrawal management program, they often arrive uncertain of what to expect. While detoxification can be straightforward for some substances, utilizing coping mechanisms to manage withdrawal symptoms, it is not universally so.
NorthStar Regional provides a comfortable, safe, and well-supervised environment where individuals can detoxify with the assistance of detox medications. This professional, monitored approach ensures that medications are tapered off gradually, allowing clients to undergo detox at a controlled pace, reducing the severity of withdrawal symptoms. This environment is designed to help prevent relapse and mitigate potential damage to the body.
Upon enrollment, NorthStar Regional’s dedicated team assesses the severity of each client’s addiction to determine the appropriate next steps. For individuals with severe addictions, such as those involving alcohol or benzodiazepines, the program offers top-tier withdrawal management services.

A highly attentive program that focuses on the client’s intensive need and desire for a devoted step into their wellness journey. Valley Views Residential program offers participants a dedicated live-in facility that provides a safe and inclusive place to eat and rest, while receiving therapy for substance abuse, mental illness, and other accompanying medical/psychiatric issues.

Co-Occurring Intensive Outpatient with Lodging (Men)
Our Co-Occurring IOP with Lodging program at Valley View builds upon our client’s developing desire and plan to progress in their wellness journey. Offering a dedicated live-in facility with therapy for substance abuse, mental health, and other accompanying medical/psychiatric issues, this program encourages and aids its members in the initial stages of reintegration with the outlying community.

Mental Health Services – Outpatient and SUD Aftercare
The NorthStar Regional counseling team of therapists includes Psychologists, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers, and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors. Our staff will help individuals find the best option from the mental health services we offer, so that we can provide the help clients need with encouragement and understanding.
NorthStar Regional provides kind, compassionate mental health services, in individual, couple, and family settings. These services are available to adults, teens, and adolescents. Our new facility is conveniently located in Shakopee, MN. We provide counseling in office and via Telehealth.
